About the Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed
This is the 300 PRC version of Browning's X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR, and it gets a 22" barrel rather than the shorter tubes the smaller cartridges run. The barrel is a fluted sporter contour, threaded at the muzzle and fitted with a radial brake, and a thread protector comes in the box. Everything metal is coated in Smoked Bronze Cerakote, a finish that takes weather and handling without complaint, and the steel receiver is drilled and tapped for whatever optic the job calls for.
Behind the barrel is Browning's Vari-Tech composite stock, adjustable for length of pull, comb height and grip angle. On a 300 PRC that adjustability is not a luxury: getting the comb under your cheek in the right place is the difference between a rifle you shoot well and one you flinch on. The Mossy Oak Bottomland finish keeps it quiet in the timber. With a 3 round magazine and a braked 22" barrel, this is a magnum built for open country and long shots, packaged in a rifle that still fits in a truck and gets carried rather than left behind.
