About the Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed
The 300 PRC needs barrel length to earn its keep, and Browning gives it 26 inches here. The barrel is fluted in a sporter contour, threaded at the muzzle and fitted with a radial brake that takes a real bite out of the recoil, with a thread protector in the box for suppressor use. Metal is finished in Smoked Bronze Cerakote and the steel receiver is drilled and tapped for a rail, which this cartridge deserves given the glass most owners will hang on it.
The Vari-Tech composite stock adjusts for length of pull, comb height and grip angle, so a rifle chambered this hard can be fit properly to the person shooting it. That fit is not a luxury on a magnum. Get the comb and pull right and recoil goes straight back into the shoulder instead of into a cheekbone. The stock wears Mossy Oak Bottomland, and the magazine holds 3 rounds.
