Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed 243 Win 22" 4rd Mossy Oak Bottomland Rifle

243 Win is the cartridge a lot of shooters start with and plenty never leave. It shoots flat, recoils lightly enough that nobody develops a flinch, and puts deer and antelope down cleanly with the right bullet. Browning chambers it here in the X-Bolt 2 Speed behind a 22" fluted sporter barrel, threaded at the muzzle under a radial brake, with barrel and steel receiver both finished in Smoked Bronze Cerakote. A thread protector is included.

The Vari-Tech composite stock is the piece worth paying attention to here. Length of pull adjusts, which matters if the rifle is going to a younger or smaller framed shooter who will grow into it. Comb height adjusts, which matters the moment a larger objective scope goes on top. Grip angle adjusts too. Mossy Oak Bottomland camo covers the stock, the receiver comes drilled and tapped for bases, and the detachable rotary magazine holds 4 rounds. As a first centerfire rifle nobody outgrows, or as a light carrying varmint and deer gun for an experienced hand, the 243 build makes a great deal of sense.
