The 270 Win has been taking deer and antelope in open country since 1925, and it is still one of the flattest shooting cartridges available without stepping up to a magnum. It pushes a 130 grain bullet fast, drifts less in wind than most 30 calibers, and does not punish the shooter in a rifle of this weight.
