Browning put the 6.5 Creedmoor into the Pro Hunter Deluxe for the hunter who wants reach without a beating. The cartridge is efficient, easy to load for, and shoots flat enough that holdovers stay manageable past 400 yards, and the AB3 action underneath it is a simple, honest push feed bolt gun that has been running in Browning rifles for a long time. What sets the Deluxe apart is the wood: a satin finish light maple stock with a darker maple cap on the forend and checkering cut into the grip and forearm.

The 22" barrel is spiral fluted and matte blued, and the bolt body is fluted to match. A radial brake threads onto the muzzle to keep the sight picture from jumping, which matters more than most people admit when you are trying to call your own shot. Controls are where a bolt gun shooter expects them - top tang safety, a bolt lock override so you can unload without dropping the safety, and a hex shaped bolt knob big enough to run with gloves on.
