Browning AB3 Hunter 7mm-08 22" 5rd Rifle

The AB3 Hunter in 7mm-08 Remington is the wood stocked member of Browning's AB3 family, a bolt gun that follows the A-Bolt recipe with fewer frills. The 22" sporter contour barrel is cold rolled steel, button rifled and free floated, and it ends in a recessed target crown that keeps the muzzle protected in the field. Barrel and receiver wear a non-reflective matte blued finish, and the black walnut stock has a satin finish with cut checkering.

Run the bolt and the 60 degree lift is the first thing you notice. It is a short throw that keeps your hand clear of big scope turrets. The top tang safety sits right under the thumb, and the bolt unlock button lets you open the action with the safety on, which makes unloading in the truck or at the stand much simpler. The detachable box magazine holds five rounds. An Inflex recoil pad takes the edge off, and the sling swivel studs are already installed. The receiver is drilled and tapped, so bring the base and scope of your choice. At about 6.75 pounds it is easy to carry up a ridge for whitetail or antelope.
