Browning 1911-380 Medallion Pro Compact 380 ACP 3.63" 8rd Pistol

The 1911-380 Black Label Medallion Pro Compact is the shorter barrel version of Browning's scaled down 1911 in 380 ACP. Built at about 85 percent of the original 45 size, it is slightly larger than the popular micro 380s, and that extra size is the point: the grip has room for three fingers under the trigger guard, recoil is easy to control, and follow up shots are faster and more accurate. It still weighs only about 16 ounces.

Everything works the way a 1911 shooter expects. The trigger is single action, there is an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety, and the hammer and trigger are skeletonized. The 3.63 inch steel barrel has a target crown, and the slide is blackened stainless steel with silver polished flats and serrations, riding on a matte black composite frame with an aluminum subframe. Steel three dot combat sights are dovetailed into the slide, and checkered rosewood grips with a gold Buckmark inlay finish it off. The single stack steel magazine holds 8 rounds, and two magazines and an ABS carry case are included. It is a comfortable carry gun that new shooters can handle well.
