About the Browning Maxus II 12

The Maxus II is Browning's gas operated 12 gauge for the marsh and the field, and this one wears full coverage Vintage Tan camo, Browning's retro camo pattern. It runs on the Power Drive gas system, which is built to cycle a wide range of factory loads and soak up part of the recoil. The 3.5 inch chamber takes everything from light 2.75 inch field loads up to heavy waterfowl magnums, and the tube holds four 2.75 inch shells. A 26 inch back bored vent rib barrel keeps the gun quick in a blind or boat.

The composite stock has a SoftFlex cheek pad, overmolded grip panels and an Inflex recoil pad, and it can be adjusted with shims for cast and drop. The Lightning trigger breaks clean, the crossbolt safety sits where you expect it, and it has a screw on magazine cap and a TurnKey magazine plug. A fiber optic front sight with an ivory mid bead helps you track birds, and the chrome chamber and bore resist corrosion from wet days. Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder Invector-Plus extended chokes are included. The gun weighs about 7 lbs.
