New Savage Rifles: 110 Ultralite, 110 Core and Axis XP Arrivals
by Shooting Surplus
What came in
Savage shipped us a fresh batch of bolt-action rifles in late September, and all of them are in stock now. The run covers three tiers: the 110 Ultralite for hunters who count ounces, the 110 Core for a plain working rifle, and the Axis XP and Axis 2 XP for a scoped package that is ready to take to the range. Here is what arrived, grouped by line. Every one of these is a firearm, so it ships to the licensed dealer you choose. If you have not bought a gun from us before, start with how to buy a firearm online.
Savage 110 Ultralite
Three Ultralite rifles landed. The 110 Ultralite Pro Western is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 20-inch barrel, a 3-round capacity and a camo finish, and it is the one we have the deepest stock on. The 110 Ultralite Pro Woodland is the same 20-inch, 3-round layout in a Woodland camo pattern. The 110 Ultralite Predator goes a different direction: 5.56 NATO, an 18-inch barrel, a 10-round magazine and a Hunter Green finish. If your season is more coyotes than elk, that is the one to look at.

Savage 110 Core
The 110 Core rifles are the working-rifle tier of the 110 line. Two Core Hunter models arrived in gray: a 6.5 PRC with a 22-inch barrel and a 2-round capacity, and a 30-06 Springfield with a 20-inch barrel and a 4-round capacity. Left-handed shooters get a 110 Core Predator in 7mm-08 Remington. Left-hand bolt guns do not come through often, and we have exactly one, so do not wait on it.

Savage Axis 2 XP, scope included
The Axis 2 XP rifles come as a package with a 3-9x40 scope, so there is nothing else to buy before you zero it. Three chamberings came in, each with a 4-round capacity: 25-06 Remington with a 20-inch barrel and an OD Green stock, 7mm-08 Remington in gray, and 22-250 Remington in gray. Pick the chambering that matches what you hunt. All three are on our rifles page with the rest of the Savage line.

Savage Axis XP, the entry point
The Axis XP is the lower-priced package rifle in this batch and also comes with a 3-9x40 scope. Three arrived, all 7mm-08 Remington or 350 Legend with a 4-round capacity. Two are Compact models: a 350 Legend with an 18-inch barrel and a 7mm-08 with a 20-inch barrel. The third is a full-size Axis XP in 7mm-08. If you want a scoped bolt gun for a new hunter without spending 110 money, this is the shelf to shop.
How to buy
Add the rifle to your cart, check out, and send us the license for the dealer you want it shipped to. We handle the rest with the dealer, and you finish the paperwork at their counter. Stock on a few of these is thin, especially the left-hand Core Predator and the Axis 2 XP in 25-06, so if one of them fits your season, order it before it goes.
