Beretta 96A1 40 S&W 4.9" 12rd Pistol

The 96A1 brings the 40 S&W back to Beretta's 90 series. It is built off the 92FS/M9, with a 4.9" cold hammer forged barrel, a 12 round magazine and the same DA/SA action and open slide that made the 92 famous. Three 12 round magazines and a hard case come with it.

Beretta worked with law enforcement experts on this pistol so it would hold up to tens of thousands of full power rounds. An internal recoil buffer machined into the frame cuts stress on the parts, and a captive recoil spring assembly makes field stripping simple. The black Bruniton aluminum frame has an integral Picatinny rail for a light or laser and a rounded trigger guard. Up top is a three dot sight setup with a removable dovetail front sight, and the slide is serrated steel. The magazine release is reversible for left hand shooters. At 33.3 oz unloaded it soaks up the snappier 40 S&W recoil well. Magazines interchange with other 96 family pistols, which helps if you already own one.
