Auto-Ordnance M1 Lightweight Tommy Gun 45 ACP 16.5" 10rd Rifle

This is the 10 round version of Auto-Ordnance's Lightweight M1, the Thompson pattern carbine built with a blued aluminum alloy receiver and barrel assembly in place of the milled steel the originals used. Walnut grain polymer furniture replaces the wood, which cuts weight again and shrugs off humidity that would have a real stock moving around on you. The profile is still unmistakable from fifty yards away.

Chambering is 45 ACP through a 16.5" barrel, fed by a 10 round stick magazine, and the action is semi auto - one round per trigger press. The bolt handle rides on the side of the receiver the way a Thompson's always has, and the stock is fixed with a matching walnut grain polymer grip. The 10 round magazine makes this the version to look at if you live somewhere that caps magazine capacity, or if you just want something shorter hanging under the receiver at a bench. Recoil in 45 ACP out of a carbine length barrel is mild enough that this makes an easy rifle to hand a new shooter, and it is a considerably lighter thing to hold up than the gun it is patterned on.
