The ATN ODIN 6 MFT is built to be more than one tool. MFT stands for multi function thermal: the same 1-8x25mm 640x480 core runs as a handheld scanner, mounts to a helmet as a goggle, rides in front of a day optic as a clip on, or attaches directly to the rifle as a weapon sight. One purchase covers jobs that used to take three devices.
The 640x480 sensor is the resolution serious thermal users step up to, pulling heat signatures out of brush and fog that lower resolution cores smear together. Scan a field from the truck, then move the unit to the gun when it is time to close the deal on hogs or predators. A built in 1,000 yard laser rangefinder reads the distance before you commit to the shot. The modular role swapping is what separates the ODIN 6 from single purpose thermal monoculars in its class.
