Athlon Neos HMR Turret 3-9x40mm Center-X Riflescope

Athlon put exposed target turrets on this version of the Neos HMR, so the 3-9x40 becomes a scope you dial rather than one you hold over with. Each click moves a quarter MOA and the caps come off for good, which suits a hunter who keeps a drop chart taped to the stock. The Center-X reticle is a clean hunting crosshair with no holdover clutter, and it sits in the second focal plane so it looks the same at 3x and at 9x.

Glass is fully multi coated behind the 40mm objective, with parallax fixed at 100 yards. The one piece aluminum tube is nitrogen purged and sealed against water, and it measures 1 inch for standard rings. At 17 ounces the scope will not upset the balance of a light deer rifle, and the turret housing is compact enough that it clears a bolt handle on most actions.
