Athlon Neos HMR 3-9x40mm Illuminated BDC500 Riflescope

A 3-9x40 is the configuration that has taken more deer than any other, and this Neos HMR brings illumination to it. The BDC500 reticle sits in the second focal plane with holdover marks laid out for common centerfire loads, and the lit center picks up fast against shadowed timber or a dark hide where a plain black crosshair simply disappears.

The 40mm objective keeps ring height low and the rifle balanced, so the gun handles close to the way it did before glass went on it. At 3x there is enough field for a snap shot in thick cover, and 9x is plenty of magnification for a shot across a cut cornfield. Nitrogen purging keeps the internals dry and fog free, the turrets adjust in MOA, and the one piece aluminum tube absorbs recoil without shifting point of impact between range trips.
