Athlon Argos BTR Gen3 10-40x56 ABLR4 Riflescope

The Athlon Argos BTR Gen3 is a 10-40x56 riflescope wearing the ABLR4 reticle. A 10x floor and a 40x ceiling put this one in target and long range territory rather than general purpose use. At 10x there is still enough field of view to work a target board, and 40x is enough magnification to see group placement and read conditions without a spotting scope sitting next to the rifle.

The 56mm objective is the other half of that equation. A large objective gathers more light, which is what keeps the image usable at high magnification where brightness normally falls off. Paired with the ABLR4 reticle, the Gen3 Argos BTR is aimed at shooters working known distances - benchrest, F-class, varmint rigs, and precision rifles that spend most of their time above 15x rather than down where a general purpose scope lives.
