Athlon Talos HMR Center-X Riflescope

The Talos HMR belongs to Athlon's Talos line of riflescopes and carries the Center-X reticle in the second focal plane. A second focal plane reticle holds the same visual size no matter where the magnification ring sits, so the aiming point stays quick to pick up at low power and stays fine enough to shoot precisely at the top of the range.

Center-X is laid out in MOA, which means the reticle and the turrets speak the same language and a hold can be dialed instead if you would rather turn a dial than hold off. Second focal plane subtensions are correct at one magnification setting, so note which power the reticle is calibrated at before you start using the marks for distance. Zero it at a range you shoot often and build the rest of your holds from that point.
