The SH4 runs 4 to 16x behind a 50mm objective on a 34mm main tube, with the reticle in the first focal plane so the marks measure the same at every magnification. Adjustments are MOA, which suits shooters who already think in inches and minutes rather than switching to a metric unit.

The reticle is a varmint hunter pattern, which points at prairie dog towns and coyote stands more than a match line, and the 4x bottom end backs that up by keeping the field of view open for a close shot.
