Arken EP8 1-8x28mm FFP 34mm MOA KL Box Riflescope

A first focal plane 1-8 is a hard optic to build, because the reticle has to shrink to almost nothing at 1x and still be readable at 8x. The EP8 answers it with the illuminated KL Box reticle, named for the Known Length brackets Arken sizes to a target of known width, and those finer holds come into view as you turn the magnification up. At 8x it turns a carbine into something you can shoot precisely well past red dot range.

A 34mm tube is unusual on a low power variable and buys extra elevation travel, so this one can dial as well as hold. Turrets and reticle are both MOA, which keeps every correction in the same unit and takes the conversion math out of a spotter call. It is heavier than a 30mm 1-8, so plan on a solid cantilever mount and a rifle that can carry the weight up front.
