American Tactical Alpha Maxx 5.56 NATO 7.5" 60rd Duo Sight Pistol

American Tactical's Alpha Maxx is a 5.56 NATO pistol built on the AR pattern, and this version comes set up to shoot out of the box. The barrel measures 7.5 inches, which is about as short as the cartridge gets before velocity falls off a cliff, and the 7 inch M-LOK handguard covers most of it while leaving slots on every side for a light, a hand stop or a sling mount. A rear brace handles the support side of the equation.

The duo sight included with this configuration switches between a red and a green reticle, so the dot stays visible against both bright desert dirt and dark timber without changing anything on the gun. Feeding comes from a 60 round window magazine, which is a lot of ammunition to have on board a package this size and lets the shooter watch the round count without pulling the magazine. Short 5.56 pistols like this one live in trucks, behind shop counters and in range bags, where overall length matters more than ballistics.
