Akkar Open Country 20 GA 28" Shotgun

This Akkar Open Country is the 20 gauge over under, fitted with 28" barrels chambered for 3" shells. A 20 gauge stacked barrel gun is lighter to carry than a 12 and easier on the shoulder, yet a 3" 20 gauge shell still has plenty for pheasants, doves and quail. Five choke tubes come with the gun.

The Open Country uses automatic ejectors, so fired hulls pop out when the action opens. The tang mounted safety also works as the barrel selector, letting you pick which barrel goes first before the bird gets up. Turkish walnut furniture and Akkar's OxyCap metal finish give it a traditional look. With 28" barrels the 20 gauge balances well for clays as well as the field, and it is a natural choice for a younger or smaller framed shooter who has outgrown a 410 but does not need a 12. On top of the blued barrels runs a 7mm flat rib, and if you would rather pick your empties out by hand, one part swaps the ejectors for extractors.
