Independent pod movement provides flexible single or dual eye configurations, and each tube automatically powers down when flipped up to preserve battery life and reduce standby drain. Manual gain control lets you fine-tune image brightness to maintain optimal clarity as lighting varies, while an integral infrared illuminator enables readable performance in complete darkness. The UNVG runs on a single AA alkaline battery for up to 15 hours, with an external battery pack included that extends runtime to about 50 hours for extended field use. Compatibility with standard dovetail headset and helmet mounts enhances versatility, and the design supports easy installation on a variety of platforms.
