Taylor's 1873 Cattleman 357 Mag 5.5" 6rd Faux Stag Revolver

Taylor's 1873 Cattleman in 357 Magnum pairs a 5.5" blued round barrel with a blued half fluted 6 round cylinder and a color case hardened steel frame. The grip is a two piece imitation stag in the Navy size, framed by a brass backstrap and triggerguard. It will also chamber and fire 38 Special, the easy way to shoot it a lot without the full 357 recoil.

At 5.5" the barrel sits right in the middle of the classic single action lengths, giving a little more sight radius and muzzle weight than the 4.75" gun while still carrying well in a belt holster. The action is the familiar 1873 pattern: half cock the hammer, open the loading gate, load one chamber at a time, and punch empties out with the ejector rod. Sights are a fixed blade front and a rear notch in the frame. The gun has a manual cylinder pin safety and a traditional hammer mounted firing pin, so carry it with the hammer resting on an empty chamber. The stag pattern grips and brass straps give it the look of a dressed up frontier revolver for the cowboy action line or the display case.
