Winchester loaded the 28 gauge 3" hull with 1-1/8oz of shot, a payload that used to be 12 gauge territory. Magnum Pheasant uses a batch blended mix of #5 and #6 lead: the 6s fill in the pattern up close, the 5s carry the weight needed to fold a late flushing rooster out at 40 yards.

The shot is polished and precisely sized before loading, so fewer pellets deform on the way out of the barrel and the pattern stays round instead of throwing fliers. At 1200 fps out of a light 28 gauge it does not punish you over a long walk through cut corn. Boxed 25rd.
