The Guard Advanced is one of the lower profile frames in Wiley X's changeable lens line, built on Triloid nylon with flexible bayonet temples that sit flat under a set of earmuffs. The 8 base wrap keeps wind, dust and brass out from the sides without the bug eye bulk of a full goggle.

Two shatterproof Selenite lenses come in the kit: smoke grey for bright glare and clear for indoor ranges, overcast days and low light. Swapping them takes seconds. Frame and lenses together meet the ANSI Z87.1+ high velocity and high mass impact standards, the US Federal OSHA 1910.133 requirement, and the MIL-PRF-32432A ballistic standard, which is why this frame turns up on duty rather than in a sunglass rack.
