Wiley X built the Founder as a full coverage frame that does not announce itself as safety equipment, and the green mirror is the lens people reach for in bright open country. The Captivate tint work pulls contrast out of greens and browns, so vegetation separates from dirt instead of blending into it, and the mirror coat pushes back the top end of the light.

The lenses are polarized, which kills the glare bouncing off water, dust and glass, and they block 100 percent of UVA and UVB. They also carry the ANSI Z87.1+ rating, which is the part that matters when fragments come back off a steel plate.
