The 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum is among the fastest 6.5mm cartridges ever put into production, and the Mark V Frontier gives it the barrel to prove it. The 26" threaded tube — capped with Weatherby's 2" Accubrake ST — lets the overbore case burn its full powder charge, sending sleek 6.5mm bullets on a trajectory flat enough to make distant holdovers almost boring. Barrel and steel receiver are finished in graphite black Cerakote, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped for mounts, with factory iron sights and an adjustable TriggerTech trigger on board.
Under the metalwork sits an oiled walnut Monte Carlo stock, classic Weatherby styling on a rifle that is otherwise thoroughly modern. The magazine holds 3rds, and the Mark V's nine lug action opens with a short 54 degree bolt throw that clears low mounted scopes and speeds up follow up shots.
