Weatherby Select 340 Wby Mag 225gr InterLock 20rd Box

The 340 Weatherby Magnum arrived in 1963 as Weatherby's answer to the 338 Winchester Magnum. Its longer case holds more powder, so it drives heavy .338 bullets noticeably faster. It is well suited to elk and anything larger, and lighter loads work on deer too.

This Select load uses a 225gr Hornady InterLock spire point. The InterLock ring locks the core to the jacket so the bullet holds together and penetrates instead of coming apart on bone. It is a traditional cup and core bullet that has taken a lot of big game. Weatherby lists 3000 fps at the muzzle. Sold in a 20rd box.
