Volquartsen Black Mamba 22 LR 4.5" 10rd Pistol

The Volquartsen Black Mamba is built for rimfire competition but easy enough to live with that it gets shot every weekend. It starts with Volquartsen's LLV Competition Upper: a 4.5" stainless steel barrel and stainless breech inside a lightweight aluminum shroud, with a threaded muzzle and a single port compensator installed. The upper rides on a polymer Ruger Mark IV 22/45 frame, which gives you push button takedown and 1911 style grip angle.

Volquartsen fits the frame with its Accurizing Kit for a crisp single action trigger, adds the Competition Bolt, and installs its own magazine release. Paired with the included magazine base pads, that release sits each magazine a little higher in the frame so the bolt picks up rounds more positively. Capacity is 10 rounds and two magazines come in the box. Sights are a green fiber optic front with an adjustable target rear, and Hogue grips finish it off. At about 28 ounces the 4.5" Black Mamba swings fast between steel plates and is a good step up for a shooter moving past a stock Mark IV.
