Trijicon ACOG Compact 1.5x16S Green 223 RTR Riflescope

At 1.5 power this ACOG behaves almost like a red dot but gives back a little detail at distance. The illumination is what sets it apart from a battery powered sight: fiber optics on top gather ambient light and automatically match reticle brightness to the conditions, while a tritium lamp takes over when the light runs out. There is no switch, no dial and nothing to leave on overnight.

The green 223 RTR reticle gives aiming references past the point where holdover starts to matter. The ACOG body is built to be rugged and reliable. For a short 223 carbine that lives in a truck or a safe and has to work the moment it comes out, an optic that needs no battery is an honest advantage.
