TR Imports Silver Eagle SE17 20 GA 22" 4rd Youth Shotgun

The SE17 is the budget semi auto in TR Imports' Silver Eagle line. It comes out of the same plant as the Sporter, with simplified components and a plainer stock to bring the price down rather than a different action. This is the youth build in 20 gauge: a 22 inch barrel, a 3 inch chamber, a black synthetic stock cut down for a smaller frame shooter and a 4 round capacity.

Five choke tubes come with the gun, which covers most of what a new shooter runs into between a dove field and a clays course without buying tubes separately. Those chokes use the Mobil thread pattern, and that is worth knowing before ordering anything aftermarket - Trulock, Carlson's, Patternmaster and Briley all cut tubes in that pattern. A 20 gauge semi auto on a youth stock is about as approachable as a first shotgun gets: the shorter stock lets a young shooter mount the gun square instead of climbing over it, the synthetic furniture means a wet morning in a blind does not turn into a refinishing job.
