TR Imports Light Super 410 Bore 28" Walnut Shotgun

The Light Super is a 410 bore over under with 28" barrels, and the way it saves weight is worth understanding. Most double guns that shed pounds do it by trading a steel receiver for aluminum, which works but puts a ceiling on how much shooting the gun will absorb over the years. TR Imports went the other direction and used stronger steel alloys instead, so the Light Super comes in light while keeping a steel action underneath. Stock and forend are walnut, and there is a barrel selector built into the safety.

Chambers are cut for 3" shells, which in 410 is the difference between a light target load and a shell with enough shot to be taken seriously on squirrel and rabbit. Automatic ejectors are standard, so empties clear the chambers on their own when you break the gun open instead of needing to be picked out one at a time. Five choke tubes come with the gun, cut to the common Mobil thread pattern, which means replacement and specialty tubes are easy to find. A 410 over under is a specialist's gun: unforgiving to shoot well because the pattern is small, easy to carry all day, and about as pleasant on the shoulder as a shotgun gets. For a young shooter learning to swing a double, or an experienced hand who wants the squirrel woods to be a challenge again, this is the right size gun.
