Seventeen caliber bores are tight, and a brush that swells or sheds bristles turns a cleaning session into a stuck rod problem. Tipton runs heavier nylon filament here, stiff enough to break carbon loose in a 17 HMR or 17 Hornet barrel without the risk a bronze brush carries in a small bore.

Nylon shrugs off the ammonia based copper solvents that eat bronze, so a brush can sit in a soaked barrel and come back out intact. The core and stem are brass, which will not scratch rifling. Three brushes in this pack.
