Swampfox Tomahawk II 1-6x24mm SFP BFO Amber Riflescope

The Tomahawk II is Swampfox's low power variable, and it covers the ground an AR carbine actually gets used for. Set it to 1x and it works like a red dot with both eyes open. Run it to 6x and you can identify and hold on a target several hundred yards out. The reticle sits in the second focal plane, so it keeps the same visual size through the magnification range and there is one sight picture to learn instead of six.

The BFO (Bright Fiber Optic) reticle is illuminated amber rather than red, which reads cleanly against green vegetation and in the flat light of an overcast day where red tends to bloom. The eye box is most forgiving at the bottom of the range, which is where an LPVO spends most of its time on a carbine. Mount it in a cantilever at AR height or in rings on a bolt gun, and set the magnification ring where your hand naturally falls.
