This is the FDE version of the SureFire SOCOM Mini4, the shortest way into the SOCOM 4 series family. The spec sheet reads 5.5" long and 1.5" across, which means it adds almost nothing to a carbine's swing weight. SureFire built the 4 series around reducing back pressure, so instead of flooding the receiver with gas the way conventional cans do, the Mini4 keeps the gun running closer to its unsuppressed behavior with less filth and less gas in your eyes. Built entirely from U.S. mill-certified Inconel superalloy, it stands up to the heat and erosion of sustained 5.56mm fire.
Mounting is the Fast-Attach system that made SureFire cans the standard in the duty world: index it over a SureFire muzzle device, crank the collar, and it is locked with a repeatable return to zero. The Dark Earth finish pairs naturally with FDE furniture and camo builds. If your rifle wears earth tones and sees real use, this is the compact can to hang on it.
