About the Specters Cat Dirty Dave
Specters Cat opened their Recce line with the Dirty Dave, a can built around 7.62x51 and the way people actually run a 30 caliber rifle. The company chased what it calls the Big Five: sound, flash, flow, blast and durability. Their own copy is blunt about the size class too. This is not a short K style can, it is a suppressor meant to live on the rifle and keep working through M80 ball.
This is the quick detach configuration. The can indexes onto its mount and comes off the gun without unthreading a hot tube at the end of a long string, which matters when one suppressor moves between hosts. The bore is 30 caliber with a 7.62 NATO rating, so it covers the common 30 caliber rifle cartridges that fit inside that pressure window. The body wears a black finish, and Specters Cat lists the model as CAT/DD/A1.
