The Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 Metal is the heavy duty evolution of the M&P family, trading the polymer grip frame for a stainless steel chassis that moves the balance point forward and dampens recoil for faster strings of fire. This standard capacity variant carries 17 rounds of 9mm Luger, ships with two magazines, and includes a manual thumb safety for shooters who want a pistol mounted safety lever.
A 5 inch stainless barrel fits competition and duty roles, and the slide is cut for a CORE system mini red dot with the included optic plate kit. Four interchangeable palmswells let shooters tune grip size to their hand, aggressive grip texture is applied to the steel frame for all weather control, and the flat faced trigger with tactile reset breaks cleanly. The Metal series is Smith & Wesson's answer to the steel framed competition and duty market, combining the weight advantage of a metal frame with the optics ready, ambidextrous controls that made the M&P a modern service staple.
