Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 Competitor HD 9mm 5" 17rd Pistol

The M&P9 M2.0 Competitor HD is the heavy version of the M&P, built on a stainless steel frame instead of polymer. All that steel sits low in the hand and soaks up recoil, so the front sight comes back to the same place instead of wandering off the target between shots. The 5" barrel is stainless with spiral flutes, and the slide carries lightening cuts and deeper serrations that are easy to grab with sweaty or gloved hands. The whole gun wears an Armornite black finish.

Sights are a HI-VIZ tritium and fiber optic front paired with a blacked out serrated U notch rear, a combination built for speed rather than slow fire precision. The slide is cut on the C.O.R.E. pattern, so most competition dots mount without hunting for an adapter plate. This configuration has no thumb safety, which is what most action shooting competitors ask for since it takes one step out of the draw. Four 17 round magazines come in the case, enough to run a full stage without borrowing from a squadmate, and the new side texturing on the frame keeps the support hand locked in place.
