Smith & Wesson M&P22 Compact 22 LR 3.3" 10rd FDE Threaded Pistol

The M&P22 Compact is a reduced scale version of the full size M&P, built for training and target shooting in 22 LR. This model has a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote polymer frame with a Picatinny style rail and a black aluminum slide, and it comes with two 10 round magazines.

The barrel is threaded and comes with a thread adapter, installation tools and a thread protector so it fits most 1/2-28 suppressors, which makes it an easy host for a rimfire can. It is internal hammer fired, with an ambidextrous manual safety, a reversible magazine release and a magazine safety, so it will not fire without a magazine inserted. Sights are a white dot front and an adjustable white two dot rear. The captured recoil guide rod and spring make takedown and reassembly simple. At 15.3 oz it is light enough for smaller shooters, and the M&P controls carry over if you shoot a centerfire M&P, so range time with cheap 22 ammunition still builds habits you can use. It is a good first pistol for a new shooter and a fun suppressed plinker for everybody else.
