Twelve power handheld is right at the edge of what most people can hold still, and that is the problem the ZULU6 HDX Pro solves. The optical image stabilization damps out the shake that normally forces a hunter to find a tree or a pack to brace against, so a glassing session can happen standing in the open. The practical result is that detail a shooter would otherwise miss - an ear flick, a tine, movement at the edge of a treeline - stays readable.

The 42mm objectives keep the housing a reasonable size for a binocular that will hang off a chest harness all day, and the FDE finish is a departure from the usual black. For scanning a basin for an hour at a time, the stabilization is what keeps the picture readable.
