The Sierra V-Crown 9mm 124 grain JHP is a component bullet built for reloaders who want proven self defense terminal performance. Sierra partnered with Sig Sauer to develop the V-Crown line, using a stacked hollow point cavity design with a cannelure that locks the jacket to the core. The result is consistent expansion and weight retention across a wide velocity window, from short barrel carry guns to full size duty pistols.
At .355 inch diameter and 124 grains, this is the standard weight 9mm bullet that balances velocity and momentum for defensive use. Sectional density is .141 with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .120 above 1250 fps. These bullets work well with common pistol powders at standard COAL.
