About the Sierra Tipped MatchKing 7mm
The Tipped MatchKing is Sierra's MatchKing profile with an acetal resin tip up front. The tip cuts drag, and what comes with that is a flatter trajectory and less wind drift. This one is 7mm at 0.284 inch diameter, 185 grains, a hundred bullets to the box.
The tipped nose also feeds reliably through magazine fed rifles. Sierra is direct about the intended use: the TMK is a target bullet and is not recommended for most hunting applications, so keep it on paper and steel. Construction is jacketed lead over a boat tail base, and the accuracy standard is the one the MatchKing name has carried for years.
