Shield Sights OMSX Mini XL 2 MOA Glass Lens Reflex Sight

The Shield Sights OMSX is an open reflex sight in the Mini XL size with a glass lens. Open reflex construction keeps the sight light and gives an unobstructed sight picture - there is no rear housing or tube edge in the way, just the lens and the aiming point sitting on the target. It is the layout that made mini reflex sights practical on pistol slides in the first place.

This version uses a 2 MOA dot. Two minutes is the small end of the common dot sizes: it covers roughly two inches at 100 yards, so it gives up very little precision on a small target while staying quick enough to find under speed. Shooters who want a reflex sight that can also handle deliberate shots at distance generally go this direction rather than a larger dot. The Mini XL body gives more window than a standard mini sight without moving up to a full size optic.
