The Axis 2 XP is a complete hunting rig in one box. Savage mounts and bore sights a 3-9x40 scope with fully multi coated glass and tool free windage and elevation dials, so the rifle needs a trip to the range to confirm zero rather than a stop at a gunsmith first. Underneath the package is the Axis 2, which brought the user adjustable AccuTrigger to this line along with an adjustable length of pull that lets the rifle grow with a younger shooter or fit around a heavy coat in November.

The 20 inch carbon steel barrel carries muzzle threads, so a brake or a can goes on without a trip to a gunsmith, and the receiver is drilled and tapped in case you want different glass later.
