Savage Arms Axis 2 XP 350 Legend 18" 4rd 3-9x40 Scope Rifle

350 Legend exists because a handful of states restrict deer hunting to straight wall cartridges, and Winchester decided those hunters deserved better than a pistol round stretched into a rifle. The Axis 2 XP chambers it behind an 18" barrel, which is all the length the cartridge needs to do its work, and the short tube makes the rifle genuinely handy in a box blind or a ladder stand where a 24" barrel is a nuisance. The muzzle is threaded, which matters more here than on most hunting rifles, since 350 Legend runs quiet enough behind a can to be worth the trouble.

Savage sends the rifle out with a 3-9x40 scope already mounted and bore sighted. Inside, the AccuTrigger adjusts for pull weight without a gunsmith, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for the day the included glass gets replaced. The synthetic stock uses a contoured pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells and an adjustable length of pull, which is genuinely useful when one rifle gets shared between a parent and a growing kid. Four rounds go in the detachable box magazine. Recoil is mild, the ballistics are honest inside 200 yards, and the package is ready to hunt without a separate optic purchase.
