Savage 110 KLYM V2 300 Win Mag Carbon Fiber Rifle

Savage built the 110 KLYM V2 for hunters who measure a rifle by what it costs them to carry it uphill. The barrel is a carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel tube, which sheds weight without going pencil thin, and the FBT carbon fiber stock carries a one button adjustable comb so cheek height gets set to the optic instead of the other way around. Savage lists the KLYM V2 at under six pounds, and that number is the whole point of the line.

The muzzle is threaded and wears an Omniport brake, which matters more in 300 Winchester Magnum than in most chamberings. A three position tang safety lets the bolt be cycled with the striker blocked, two sling studs and a Magnaswitch system come installed, and the action underneath is the same Savage 110 that has been shooting well for decades. The 300 Winchester Magnum is still the default answer for elk and big deer at real distance, and putting it in a rifle this light is the trade every backcountry hunter argues about at camp.
