Savage 110 Hunter 300 Win Mag 24" Rifle

The Model 110 has been in continuous production longer than most rifles on the rack, and the Hunter is the plain working version of it. Chambered in 300 Winchester Magnum behind a 24" barrel, this one is built for elk, moose and open country mule deer, where a heavy bullet still has to arrive with authority a long way out. The 24" tube is the right length for a belted magnum. It gives the powder column somewhere to burn instead of throwing the surplus out the muzzle as noise and flash.

Two things separate a current 110 from the rifles Savage was building thirty years ago. The AccuTrigger lets the shooter set the pull to their own preference without a gunsmith, and it does it without the creep that made factory triggers something people immediately replaced. The AccuFit system uses interchangeable comb risers and length of pull spacers, so the stock gets fitted to the person shooting rather than the other way around. Barrels are headspaced with the barrel nut system Savage has used for decades, which is why these rifles shoot the way they do straight out of the box. A detachable box magazine feeds it and the tang safety sits right under the thumb.
