The Ruger SFAR 7.62 is a small-frame autoloading rifle that brings .308 Winchester/7.62 NATO ballistics into a compact MSR footprint, offering hunters, precision shooters and patrol operators a balanced blend of power and maneuverability; built on a beefed-up platform, the SFAR uses an 8620 steel bolt carrier with a nitride-processed gas key and a 4140 chrome-moly barrel with ultra-precise 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist to deliver consistent accuracy and long-term durability, while the 16.1" barrel and mid-length gas system with a 0.750" 4-position gas block tame recoil and gas impulse for smoother follow-up shots, and the 4.5 lb two-stage trigger gives a predictable, shooter-friendly break for disciplined sighting and long-range work. Finished in camo with hard coat anodized surfaces and fitted with Magpul MOE SL stock and MOE grip, the SFAR is a semi-automatic AR-type rifle that balances weight and strength where it counts, making it well suited for brush hunting, tactical training, range duty and competition; note that transfer requires an FFL and the model comes configured with a 20-round capacity and flat-top optics-ready receiver for scope or red-dot mounting.
