Ruger MAX-9 9mm 3.2" 10rd Leopard Print Manual Safety Pistol

The MAX-9 is Ruger's entry in the micro compact 9mm class, and this one arrives wearing a leopard print frame. It is a cosmetic treatment that changes nothing mechanical and everything about how the gun looks coming out of a bag. The 3.2" barrel and slim slide put it in the same footprint as the guns it competes against, and the slide is cut from the factory for a micro red dot with a cover plate fitted for anyone staying on iron sights.

This variant carries the manual thumb safety. Some shooters want a positive safety on a striker fired carry gun and some skip it entirely; Ruger builds the MAX-9 both ways and this is the safety version. One 10rd magazine comes with the pistol, which also keeps it usable in states that cap magazine capacity. The grip frame is textured polymer with a short trigger reach, and Ruger sized the slide stop and magazine release for real hands rather than shrinking them to save a tenth of an inch, so the controls stay workable in a hurry. Fit and finish on the MAX-9 has always been better than the category average. This is a serious carry pistol with a finish that does not take itself seriously.
