Ruger Mark IV Hunter 22 LR 5.5" 10rd Pistol

The Ruger Mark IV Hunter is the long barreled target and small game version of Ruger's rimfire pistol. This one is a TALO distributor edition: a blued steel frame and a 5.5" fluted bull barrel, dressed with checkered laminate grips. Up front is a red HiViz sight, paired with an adjustable rear, so you can zero for your ammo and still pick up the front post fast against brush or a dark target. The receiver is drilled and tapped if you want to add a scope or red dot.

The heavy fluted barrel keeps weight forward for a steady hold, which is what makes the Hunter popular for bullseye practice, plinking and taking squirrels and rabbits at sensible ranges. It is a single action semi auto fed from 10 round magazines, and two magazines come in the box. A magazine disconnect is part of the design, so the pistol will not fire with the magazine removed. Mild 22 LR recoil makes it an easy pistol to shoot a lot, and an easy one to teach new shooters on.
