Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite 22 LR 4.4" 10rd Purple Pistol

The Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite pairs a lightweight, ventilated aluminum receiver with a polymer grip frame shaped like a 1911, and model 43915 finishes the receiver in purple anodizing. It is a 22 LR pistol with a 4.4" tensioned stainless steel barrel threaded 1/2-28, a 10rd magazine, and a weight of just 25 oz.

The big story with the Mark IV is takedown. Press one button at the back of the frame and the barrel and receiver tilt up and off, so field stripping and cleaning from chamber to muzzle take seconds instead of a fight with a rubber mallet. The polymer grip frame has a serrated frontstrap and checkered backstrap, and the checkered 1911 style grip panels mean the grip angle and controls feel familiar to anyone who already shoots a 1911. Sights are a fixed front and an adjustable rear. The threaded muzzle comes with a thread protector and accepts a rimfire suppressor or any other 1/2-28 muzzle device. It is a great tool for learning fundamentals, plinking cans and steel, or high volume practice that keeps your 1911 skills sharp, and the purple finish is easy to pick out in a range bag or a display case.
